More about the project:

Imagine a homestead where people who have struggled for years are able to work a self-sustaining farm and ultimately sell any excess to continue funding the project as well as supplying the Johnson County community with much needed food. This will be a place for them to work, live in their own tiny home, stay sober and find people who support them in their journey of breaking the cycle of homelessness. Each night the members of this group will attend family style dinners, and attend Bible study forming a community and family environment that many people in their situation have not had in a long time.

This is the beginning of a project that will ultimately change the lives of many people as well as make a big impact in the local community.

Faith In Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is the true anchor of life. His word, his love, and his example guide everything we do.

Community & Fellowship: We will foster a safe, family-like environment where individuals grow through shared meals, prayer, worship, and service to one another.

Restoration & Redemption: We believe in second chances and the transforming power of God’s grace to restore dignity, purpose and hope.

Accountability & Responsibility: We will encourage personal growth through discipline, sobriety, hard work and commitment to community standards.

Stewardship of God’s Gifts: We will honor God by responsibly managing the land, resources, and blessings entrusted to us, cultivating sustainability for future generations.

Service & Love: We will live out faith by serving others in humility, showing compassion, and extending Christ’s love to all.

Discipleship & Growth: We will commit to spiritual personal and community growth through Bible study, mentorship and intentional living.

Donate: Like every new project we will need funds to start. No amount is to small every $1 puts us one step closer. The goal is to become a self sustaining community by the time The Anchoring is fully functional until then we will need your help to get there.

Volunteer: When The Anchoring is up and going we will need help. This is a big project and will take the knowledge and time of our community. If you would like to be on the list to contact when the time comes please send us an email. There will be many areas of opportunity to be a part of this life changing project.

Help us get land: The Anchoring needs a home base to get started. If you or someone you know has land that they would like to donate to this cause please reach out to us.
